Our History

Ray Metallfabrik AB was founded in 1961 by Simon Angerd.

In the early years, production primarily consisted of mufflers for Volvo PV and Saab 2-stroke models.

After a few years, production of sports exhaust systems began, which were then sold under the brand name Rallye.

Later, the name Simons Rallye Sportsystem was used. Since 1985, it has simply been known as Simons® Sportsystem.

During the 1980s, Simons became a strong brand in Scandinavia. High quality and a perfect fit made the systems very popular.

In the 1990s, Simons expanded further through exports to many countries in Northern Europe.

The demand for stainless steel products increased, and the SS and TOP-quality grades were launched in the early 2000s.
